Conditioning Classes

SEDA Dance is excited to offer rotating Conditioning classes, keeping you moving throughout the year. Conditioning classes are separate from regular class registration, and can be purchased by singular drop-in or by a 10-class Conditioning Pass. An unlimited “stretch and strength pass” is included when you register for 4 or more classes.

Deep Core

Teacher: Kayla Henry
Mondays 11-12pm

Are you in an aging body? Are you new to movement? Are you a professional athlete, or somewhere in-between? This class is for you! Deep Core focuses on the often-missed area of the core — the pelvic floor. We will focus on a series of exercises to locate, activate, and strengthen the lower core, which will help to reduce and prevent lower back pain, protect your organs as you age, improve balance and stability, and many, many other amazing things! This class is designed to accommodate everyBODY, no matter age or ability. 

Yoga

Teacher: Sarah Mercer

Breath, body, connection.
Sarah will guide you through this soft yoga practice, calming the mind and opening the body. Her warm approach to class is a lovely way to explore your body through the wise practice of yoga while enhancing your dance practice.

Stretch Class

Teacher: Kathy Lang

This calm, yin stretch class for dancers will help increase flexibility and decrease stress. Holding stretch poses for longer allows your tendons, ligaments, fascia and other connective tissue to gently stretch and relax. Your body will release and your mind will relax, leaving space for your body to open up before your next dance class.

Fascial Stretch

Teacher: Shannon Moreno

A two-part fascial stretching class with some yoga and pilates-based influences. Fascial stretching improves the mobility of your nerves and the flexibility of your muscles and fascia by focusing on the fascial lines that connect through and wrap around muscle, nerves, organs, and just about everything else in your body.
